On Memorial Day and every day, may we never forget the sacrifices these brave people made for us and may their souls rest in eternal peace. We also pray for an end to these never ending wars and a new era where no more innocent lives are lost.
Rest in Peace lost servicemen and servicewomen of the free world. I know that I will remember and honour your sacrifice, and I hope others will as well, but sometimes I wonder. It is a terrible shame that throughout history the best and brightest have sacrificed their all, while the losers and scum of the world shirk their duty, leech off of the ambitious, and undermine all that the lost valiant have tried to achieve.
So true Los Ves...and these figures I posted do not include the hundres of thousands who were injured both physically/mentally/emotionally...and THEIR families who had to suffer their loss and share in their struggles.
And lets share this day with ALL fallen soldiers, from every country in the world, who also gave the ultimate sacrifice for their country.

Lillian, my heart hurts when I see the young servicemen and women so willingly taking up whatever 'the cause' (as their government, in whatever country depicts it) may be. May God bless and protect every one of them. And to ALL the fallen, may they Rest In Peace.

Los Ves..every soldier is motivated principally by DUTY OF SERVICE. This is their reason, motivation and cause.
If you would all allow me to mention my dear brother Gilbert who fought in Viet-Nam in 69-70..went to do his duty..to thank the US for giving us sanctuary..driven to fight the communism there that he could not in our birth country. May he rest in eternal peace...mi querido hermano
RIP Gilbert and thank you for your service and sacrifice.
