Isn't this how the Nazis went after the Jews ? it was a similar situation, when bad economics hit Europe and Hitler blamed the Jews for it.

What part of illegal don't you get? They are not being nabbed for religious beliefs, they are not being nabbed for etnicity, they are not being nabbed for race.

They were here illegally, committed crimes and are still illegal.......I say....bravo for rounding them up.

The concentration camp they are being sent to is the one where they were before coming here.......illegally.

The very least you should do, if you are coming and staying as an illegal.....is not to do illegal stuff......duh.

They are illegal because they don't have a piece of paper to make them legal. Doesn't make a person less human.

If they are criminals, they should be sent back.

They are illegal because they didn't want to follow the proper channels to become legal. Kind of like wanting to drive on the road without getting a license.

Since they didn't want to go through the proper channels and others did, the ones who didn't should be sent back today.

This is a good thing. In particular because in addition to having come to the US illegally they also committed crimes while here.

Look, any one with 1/10 of a brain understands that we can not and will not round up some 11 to 20 million illegal immigrants and boot them from the country. Some compromise will be worked out and some accommodation will be made. This is just common sense. That said, until we are able to secure our borders and have a reasonable national discussion about what to do with this problem, I have no problem with enforcing our laws. The fact that these particular people had also committed crimes here in the US makes it a slam dunk IMO.

I think the good thing about tough laws is that it will prevent some from coming in the first place, and will encourage others to leave. I just posted an article yesterday talking about this very subject. The good thing about the Arizona law, it is having an intended effect and it hasn't even gone into force yet.

The problem with the Arizona law isn't its goals or intent it is the, as Jeb Bush said, unintended consequenses.

You can have that with anything, anywhere, anytime........

Yeah? So? That means it's OK?

End justifies the means eh AK?
AK. You have no idea what it takes for a person to be able to migrate legally into the USA. It takes YEARS.

This law will not deter anyone from coming here. These people come here to work so they can support their families back home; because their Governments suck.

Who is going to do the work these people do?

The African-Americans; the Hillbillys; the uneducated??? WAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!

If you think employers will now pay top dollar to have this work done, you are nutters. Instead of having 3 illegals, they will have 1 legal and work them like horses till they drop.

You've been in Government employment for too long and have forgotten what the real world is like.

Totally irrelevant....many have done it.

several articles have already been published and I posted one here which totally disputes what you are saying with interviews of illegals.

Anyone who wants a job bad enough. If I had to do it, I would be the first in line. Have done all that kind of work before.

It is what it is.......

You have no idea what you are talking about. You don't know me from Adam, and you are beginning to sound like radar over on CM. For one, I don't work for the government.

You are lately beginning to sound like the liberals on this board. If you can't make an argument, be sure you throw in some insults. Kind of odd coming from the moderator.

I for one think they should have their own State, If the claim is good for palestinians who never existed as a people or nation, then it is good for Mexicans whose land was taken from them.(Tongue on Cheeck)
Yes My Mexican Brothers Rise up ! LOL
I am sure there are many fine illegals who are not criminals. Problem is, their first act in this country was illegal by even arriving here.

I say round 'em and ship them out. Maybe next time, they will try the right way.

" U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials said Friday that the operation, dubbed Operation Cross Check, was the largest ever conducted by the agency targeting foreign nationals convicted of crimes. They said the immigrants have already served their sentences and authorities will now seek to deport them.

Atlanta ICE Field Director Felicia Skinner says that "communities around the Southeast are safer than they were before" as a result. She said three of the people arrested this week had been convicted of murder and 144 were convicted on assault charges."

All were criminals.

I think we should give AZ a chance to prove they will not cause any civil rights violations.

I mean come on, 1,000 illegals crossing into AZ a day and 87% of them have criminal records?

I don't think they are going to the farms checking for ID's.

I also think there should be amnesty in some cases.

And that if a child is born here, the parents and other children should stay.

It's a heck of a dilemma!
