Skyservice airline out of canada has gone down ;same as canada 3000; royal airlines ; site the cause of debt ;I think its owned by thomas cooke ; so a lot of planned holidays are in limbo till alternate flights can be obtained Should make airtransat and sunwing holidays very happy .
Yeah, there is nothing like eliminating the competition to trump up business.
Mercy there are at least thirty five flights out of toronto every week to cuba alone ;so really I dont think its a problem of not filling planes ;any flight that I have been on over these many years have allways been full to capacity ; just ask c.k. ??
Ithink its a case of carrying at too cheap of price sooner or later it catches up with them :
Cheap is right. April 4, one week, all inclusive, Santiago de Cuba..... $218 plus $205 tax. (As of last night)
Somebody had to scream "Uncle" sooner or later.
Fact is People are not Flocking to Cuba as they used to, for what ?
Bad service ,terrible food and scammers following you all over ?
Go to Haiti you'll get better service.

Peter, you should never start one of your postings with the word "FACT" when you don't have a shit idea what you're talking about. A simple search of the Skyservice website shows where they used to fly to. Both by City or by Country. As anybody can plainly see..... Cuba was just one part of their Vacation market. But then, you'd never let actual FACTS get in the way of a good rant, would you?
LMAO!!!!!!

Facts aren't his specialty.
"Facts aren't his specialty."

That's because reality is. facts can be manipulated.

Reality just is....
All inclusive prices other than air transat and aircanada have nothing to with the flight costs ; The air carriers contract with travel wholesalers to carry at a certain prices ; thats probably what brings them down in the end ; I couldnt possibly even guess what the cost would be for fuel and crew to fly to say varadero and back verses carrying 180 passengers in a A 320 or 727-800 . ??

Actually crew cost are very far down the list when amortized over the course of a year. If you take a single crew cost divided by the number of flights they make in a year, you would be shocked to see how cheap they really are. And that is using cost for a major such a Delta. If you take crew cost for an airline such as Airtran, the crews are damn near free.

Skyservice said the shutdown will result in the cancellation of a flight that was headed to the Dominican Republic today, as well as all of its flights leaving Canada "during the balance of the season in April."

The company said it will work with its tour operator customers to resolve its outstanding passenger issues.

Skyservice also said it was "committed to winding up the business in an orderly and responsible manner. The company and the receiver will continue to treat employees and other stakeholders fairly and in a transparent manner throughout this process."
