What would be the wisest thing to do when going to Cuba: taking plenty of cash Euros (tricky) or taking traveler cheques (expensive)?
Is it possible to exhange both when arriving at Havana airport?
Take cash but only 10 U.S. one dollar bills for first tips.

Take Euros, and exchange as needed. Keep the majority of your cash well hidden in locked in luggage, once you have checked into a hotel or casa.
Most hotels have a safe in the room either come with free; or some charge 1 conv peso a day best thing anyway makes your cash and above all your passport and return tickets safe : cash can be changed at airport on arrival ;but be sure to count your money before leaving the window cause those cuban grannys love to short change tourists cheers;
Bythe time you change money to Euros and then to Chavitos your losing about 15%. My bank gives American Express Traveler Checks for free and I only lost about 13%. Not much but something.
