nah, I've been observing and learning the Latin mind for quite some time now.

I will quote 2 lines from a friend that I COMPLETELY agree with, and he's an older guy who may have spent even more time than myself examening the Latina mind.

a) Being in charge without acting like a stupid machista is the key to Latin American girls.

b) Latin American women really want A MAN.A real man. And you need to be or they will walk all over you. But actually that's not what they like. They want attention, roses, romantic behavior but they want him in charge.


actually this kind of applies to women the world over, but ESPECIALLY but Latin American women.

naturally if you follow these guidelines there will never ever be a reason to actually hit a woman. Personally I find that abhorable, I'd never do it to any woman (unless the bitch actually tried to stab me, etc only in ultimate self defense)

Eating out of her hand ?

I did date several Cubanitas while I lived in Miami growing up. The thing that struck me the most was the jelousy and temper. I was turned off by that. Im not generalizing here.

I met my wife while at UF. We started dating and soon realized we had a lot in common. She's a football freak. Worse than me. Don't even talk to her when the Gators are playing. Another thing was the closeness of her family. They are true Southeners.

The first time I met my mother in law, she made me feel like she had known me all her life. My father in law was a teacher at the local CC. He became MY father until the day he died in 2000.

We started living together but THAT was a secret. When ever we would visit her parents in Dothan, AL. I had to sleep in the "back cottage", a little three room structure behind their house. It wasn't until 20 years later that my mother in law told me she knew we lived together in Gainesville. She laughed when she made me sleep out back. She said she was a "Southern Lady" and sleeping together before marriage was not allowed.

During our senior year, we were visitng them when they asked "what are your intensions with our daughter". I told them my dream was going to Law School but I didn't think I was going to make it due to financial reasons. I told them I wanted to marry her and go back to Miami where I could get a job with the County.

A month later, he called and told me on the phone he was willing to PAY if I made it into Law School. I did and he did. She want back to Dothan and I stayed in Gainesville another two years.

During my career and more than once, the wife gave me a kick in the ass when things didn't go my way and felling sorry for myself. She strugeled thru a buch of shit. Always by my side.

The thing is. A woman is your witness thru life. A person that will say, Yes I saw your life, you done good. Getting old is inevitable and when you find the RIGHT one, you better hand on for dear life.

Both are In Charge. You're living each others lives.

Pepin. That is the same relationship I have with my husband.

When he first came from Cuba, he obviously didn't have a pot to piss in. He came in with a pair on YELLOW Converse Sneakers, shorts and a t-shirt. He lived in that for a week.

Then, after 1 1/2 years of being in Miami, he met me.

Women have two choices in life. You either elevate the man or sink him. I'm like helium. My husband always says the luckiest day in his life was when he met me. To tell you the truth, it was my lucky day too.

We are a pair and work together. We work towards common goals. If a couple doesn't work together, it's just a big friggin mess.

He hates the fact I spend money on shoes but he has just given up on me.

The most valuable thing I learned from a long-time regular yuma visitor to Cuba is...treat the chicas there like...their brothers and fathers treat them.

Not as princesses...like we tend to do in the U.S.

In other words, don't spoil them.

But that doesn't mean slap them around, either!

ochoa, latin father tend to spoil their daughters horribly. Just look at me! My sister and I are the center of the Universe for my father that is until my son came along. We have been delegated to the back burner over this rug-rat who is now 25. This child can do no wrong with my dad.

Latin Brothers tend to be very possessive with their sisters.
