When I was young my family would plant an annual garden. We started on May 1st and cared for it all summer long. One of the jobs that was essential to having a good garden was weeding. I thought that pulling weeds was kind of a fun job because you got to tear stuff up. I took to the task with great enthusiasm. I would rip those weeds out with an absolute vengeance. They would be sorry that they were a part of our garden.
I will never forget one of the times that I was allowed to help pull weeds. My cousin thought it would be funny to show me the “right” weeds to pull. Unfortunately for me, what he showed me was not a weed but the actual plant. So I went down the row and pulled out virtually every one of the plants. Before I knew what was happening my dad was yelling and trying to get me to stop. I was told that I was ruining the garden. At the end of the day, I was no longer pulling weeds and my cousin was replanting all of the “weeds” I had pulled up.
Why did I ruin the garden that day? I was tricked into doing it. I was told a lie and I believed it. I did something totally stupid just because I believed what was false. I wish I could say that was the only time I was deceived into doing something dumb. If you’re being honest with yourself, you’ve done some dumb things before too.
There are many ways that we get tricked
Lately a fifth Column within the US wants us to believe, that an obscure character who served a total of 143 days as a senator will improve America.
The Most progressive system of Government ever developed needs change, a system where even the poor eats, that has never existed, even Rome cannot compare to the achievements of this Our Nation, The United States Of America.
So we have a here a man who technically is not A US born, son of a radical Muslim and a white American Woman, who is not known for any grandeur achievements, who changes his mind as often as he goes to the bathroom on all issues, and he is supposed to change America ?
Change to What ?
The sad part is that far too often we hear lies and believe them to be the truth. Lies that cause us to stumble are nothing short of demonic.

I'm convinced.... that Obama is the best man for the job. He's got my vote!

I have asked you this before but got no response.
What is it exactly you think Obama is going to change?
Do you think the U.S. can afford his "changes" (once they are defined) even assuming we could do them?
Do you think further taxing the oil companies is going to bring down prices at the pumps?
Do you think requiring oil companies to pay $1000 to each American family(assuming the courts bought it) is going to bring down oil prices?
Do you honestly think stopping nuclear development in the U.S. is going to stop other countries(Russia) from their own research?

Some Obama supporters don't want the US to prosper. They want suffering for cultures they don't like.
Change is not always a good thing.

What's ironic is, he keeps saying this is the greatest country on earth....so lets change it.

The other ironic thing is,whenever you ask an Obama supporter exactly what they think he can do and what changes he will bring.....the silence is deafening.

Stop or lessen corporate giveaways. Fairer labour laws. Fairer tax code.

Other than making hourly versus exempt employment status stricter, the rest will raise the unemployment rate. Other than a desire to make productive people suffer, I don't see a benefit to the average American.

And you realize of course, corporations are the engine of our economy. So yea, lets penalize them. That should help the economy.
Please expand on the "fairer labor laws"
You mean to tax the rich even more? The people who own the corporations who employ the people? Never met a poor person who owned companies who employed the masses.

I'm one of those now many Americans who used to be proud of what our country represented to the world - before The Bush era, and is not ashamed of what we have become. During Clinton's presidency, we were still respected around the world - beacon of freedom, seat of democracy, and all that. Now we are shunned or feared or despised by so many around the world and seen as war mongers and our corporations as economic dictators. I don't like that at all.
I happen to think that our future lies with MY generation - not with old men who have had a chance to prove themselves and have failed or with big business that has only its own interests in mind. That said, McCain is the least of the other evils - at least a semi-moderate Republican. But you know, in the end, who could ever be worse than Bush, and I say it is time to give Obama a chance.
AK. You know I love you, but I for one would rather see many of those corporations fail, even with some economic problems for us the regular people, than to have ended up as the corporatocracy that we now are.

We finally have a President(besides Reagan) who stands up to the bullies of the world. We had began to endure more frequent and violent attacks against us because of Presidents who would do nothing. THey were too worried about "what others would thnk"
Examples would be the first WTC attack, attacks on our barracks, attacks on our own military ships, shooting down of two U.S. aircraft in international waters, and finally culminating in 9/11. When the bullies of the world begin to realize you will do nothing to them for their actions, it will never stop. If "other people" don't like us for defending ourself.......f'em

Please, I beg of you, do some real research on Obama before you pronounce him the "least" of two evils.

These corporations are the motors of our economy for us to enable to have free enterprise.
What is the alternative? Socialism? Do you really want the government taking over some of these corporations? They can't even run the Capital Hill restaurant at a profit.

All of you Obama supporters need to see who the REAL Obama is. Not only is he an avowed socialist but has several connections to terrorists and their organizations.
He has been endorsed by Hamas with little wonder. They see him as the friendly face in the White House and undoubtedly will be dancing in the streets if he is elected.
Quote:Hamas' top political adviser, Ahmed Yousef, embraced the Obama campaign Sunday in an interview on WABC radio, saying, "We like Mr. Obama. We hope he will [win] the election.
His Middle East adviser, Robert Malley, resigned after it was revealed that he had been having secret meetings with Hamas.

Another of his top advisors is Zbigniew Brzezinski, the former security adviser to Jimmy Carter who is largely responsible for the Cambodian genocide under Pol Pot as (Canadianbird pointed out). Even far left Harvard law professor Alan Dershowitz has called Obama's alliance with Brzezinski a "terrible mistake".
And then there is his connection to William Ayers, co-founder of the Weathermen terrorist group of the '60s.

I won't even bother to go into Jeremiah Wright or Tony Rezko.
Obama is just plain dangerous. Unless you are a terrorist of course.
