Jan. 3 - Once again, there are rumors about the death of Cuban dictator Fidel Castro.
The rumor is the most popular twitter in Spain, according to Punt de Vista.
Zoe Valdes and Yoani Sánchez are also reporting that many people are contacting them to find out if the rumor is true.
So far no confirmation.
Castro has not written any of his "reflexiones" in the last few days and he also didn't send his customary New Year message to the Cuban people.
Yoani Sánchez on Twitter: "Regarding the rumor that is very strong outside: We do not have any reliable information inside here."
Here we go again. Some day, you are going to get it right. You remind me of that old crackpot who scammed millions of dollars out of people predicting the end of the world. SOME DAY, you will get it right, if you are still here to see it. The clock is ticking for all of us.
The man is closing in on 90, he's going to die just like the rest of us someday.

In this case though, not only is he not dead yet, the hoax is just a front to spread a computer virus:

...so DON'T forward those tweets and emails unless you want to infect your friend's computers. You didn't forward any, did you Jorge?
HaHaHaHa!!!! That's funny. I'll bet the next rumor going around Miami is that Fidel PERSONALLY wrote the program and uploaded it onto Yoani Sánchez's tweet so that she could pass it around and it would be HER fault. Oh ya.... and he used one of Allan Gross's spy phones to do it too.
Damn... he is one SMART sonofabitch.... for a dead guy. Smile Smile Smile
Relax guys..Jorge was just reporting on the latest Internet rumor mill.
Our own personal Perez Hilton. Smile Smile
The "here we go again" qualifier should have contextualized the thread for most readers.
