Looks like someone is off the White House Christmas card list...

Quote:Ex-Bush Aide McClellan Says President Misled Public on Iraq

By Edwin Chen and Holly Rosenkrantz

May 28 (Bloomberg) -- Former White House press secretary Scott McClellan says in a memoir that President George W. Bush manipulated public opinion through a ``political propaganda campaign'' to justify going to war in Iraq.

McClellan, a longtime Bush loyalist from his Texas days, also writes that the news media largely failed to critically examine the administration's justifications for invading Iraq, according to an advanced copy of the book obtained by Bloomberg News. The book is scheduled to be sold in bookstores next week.

The memoir, ``What Happened: Inside the Bush White House and Washington's Culture of Deception,'' adds to the record of critical examinations of Bush and his administration as the president nears the end of his term in office. It also will bolster Democratic and Republican opponents of the war.

The contents of the memoir were described to Bush and he isn't expected to comment, administration spokeswoman Dana Perino said today.

``Scott, we now know, is disgruntled about his experience at the White House,'' Perino said. ``Those of us who fully supported him, before, during and after he was press secretary, we are puzzled. It is sad -- this is not the Scott we knew.''

McClellan didn't immediately respond to a request for comment.
...
I will read his book. Apparently he says alot of positive things about Bush as well as not so positive.
I don't read these types of books. There are many books out there from people who bashed the Clinton Administration as well. To me, these people are just gold diggers and are usually outed for the scam artist they truly are.

537, you only say that because you agree with him. If he had written a positive book, I am sure you would be slamming it instead of praising it. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to see how this works.

You would have been a great Nazi. The "my country right or wrong" mentality you have is nothing less than fascism.

You even have a stormtrooper son, verdad?

LMAO.....how does not reading a certain type of book, whether it is for or against, make me a Nazi? I also didn't read the books that were against the Clintons either.

I have a son in the military yes. A lot of families do. Does tha make them all fascist.......or nazi's?

The book makes some interesting observations about the whole "librul media" meme.
I read alot. If I read one book this year, that wouldnt be the one. I will read it about 6 books from now.
Keep in mind, he was fired from his job. In addition, he wasn't privvy to the security meetings. He was just a glorified parrot.

It's really funny but he criticized others who had been in the Bush administration who quit or were fired and then bad mouthed Bush. He said if they really felt that way, why didn't they resign earlier. OK, why didn't McClellan resign before he was fired? Even ABC called him on that one.

Saying anything good about the Bush administration is going to be really tough job. All he said is what everybody has already known; that he's an insecure dim wit with a Napoleon complex. But he does clear brush well.
Apparently he is a good boss, demanding, fair etc.
Of course everthing else he ran went broke... well, everything Smile

Well, since you must be in Bush's inner circle you must know "stuff".

Oh wait, you are just an internet poster with no knowledge of anything other than what you read in the liberal media. Never mind.......sorry, my bad.

Does that mean if Mclellan was in Bush's inner circle, his book should be a pretty good read?
No, it's just a "tell all" from a disgruntled ex-employee who really didn't have access to the information he claims to have.

When many members of his inner circle say the same (O'niel, Clark and now Scott McClellan all say the same thing it doesn't take a genius to see what Bush is all about. Even someone with your below average IQ should be able to figure it out.

Didn't have access? The guy was the god damn press secretary.
