According to Venezuelan journalist Nelson Bocaranda, Castro has been unconscious for 24 hours
Sept. 1 - Nelson Bocaranda, the Venezuelan journalist who first mentioned that Cuban dictator Fidel Castro has suffered another health crisis, has additional information in his daily column in El Universal:
My translation: "Fidel Castro, once again fell into an unconscious state on Wednesday, after having recovered for brief periods earlier in the day.
Once again, like so many times in these fifty years of rule by the Castro brothers, the health of the former president was back in the news.
As of the early morning hours of Thursday, Castro has been unconscious for more than 24 hours.
He is confined to his home, where a hospital level intensive care unit was installed years ago.
There are concerns at the government high command of an outbreak of a popular revolt upon learning of the death of the leader. Therefore the deployment of the so called Reserve Forces of the High Command in some areas of Havana, and the use of tear gas against dissidents who were protesting in the interior of the country."
