I’m not hearing a challenge… I’m hearing a scolding.

It appears Rubio is pissed off that Farrar didn’t go all hardliner on Havana. He is puzzled by Farrar’s attempts at US/Cuba diplomacy. Perhaps Rubio believes the primary objective of the US Interests Section is to provoke the Cuban government into arresting its citizens. He knows that paying poverty stricken Cubans $150/mo + blogging classes to cause the downfall of the government will never work… but hardliners need political prisoners, they don’t need strong opposition groups that will work against their agenda in a “Free Cuba”.

Here is a video of a representative of the US Interest Section in the park meeting with “Las Damas de Blanco”. It appears that Havana has learned not to react to this blatant provocation because none of these ladies have been imprisoned for fraternizing with an agent representing a hostile foreign government.
