As I am really fond of nature I do highly appreciate the efforts of those countries that work on protecting and preserving wild life and its natural habitat. Cuba can be held up as a model in this issue.

I like the country's attitude to dealing with its natural resources such as its flora and fauna.
Hopefully, the country will be able to exploit its unique advantage WISELY in the future.

Perhaps, some of you still remember the documentary: The Accidental Eden, which was posted here by gallofino. (Unfortunately, it is not available in my region any more.)
I was deeply impressed by this film. If you have an access to it but you have not seen it yet, it is worth watching, do not miss it.

Cubaking, thank you for posting this piece of news.

Hi, Ives.

They better keep a sharp eye on these crocs cause the populace will have them on their dinner tables legal or not the same goes for turtles I have ate their meat many times down there ;really good . You gotta do what you gotta do
That one comment about them feeding them left over meat products from Moron, I find a little amusing but sad b/c they pick up the stray dogs and feed them to the crocidiles Sad

And they feed old horses to the lions and tigers at the Havana Zoo. Feeding time is quite scary if you are inside the compound at the time. Even standing on the safe side of 1" thick bars close together, there is no time to be sad for the horses...
