Hello folks,

We have never landed in Varadero before. We will be catching the bus (ViAzul) to our family home. How far is the coach station from the airport? Is it close? Will we need a taxi? How much will the taxi be?

Thanks,

Chavasse

Hi Chavasse! Hope you guys are well. Via Azul stops right at the Varadero (Juan Gualberto Gomez) when you come out of the terminal. Look at the Via Azul website for times of day to make sure you are booking an arrival time that will allow you time to get through immigration, customs then get on the bus. Otherwise, there are terminals in both Matanzas and Varadero that the bus stops at on its regular milk run.

Also, depending how many of you and how far you are going, you may be able to get a car for just a bit more money than the bus... Are you goig East or West and how far?

Just booked our trip for November...

Hi Gallo. All is good here thanks buddy. How are you and yours? All well I hope.

It is good news to know that the bus station is near (within walking distance of the airport). We are happy with the time we have allocated to arrive and get on the bus but had no idea of how far the station was and if we would need a taxi. Thanks Gallo.

If anyone else is interested, here is the ViAzul website with a list of their prices and schedules:

Have a good trip in November.

Good to know all is well! Be sure to ask someone where to catch the bus. It pulls into the front Arrivals/Departures, but depending on your time of arrival there could be up to a couple dozen buses there at any given time.

Have a great safe trip!
A little bit of intrest about the airport which at the moment is under serious construction everything is in a mess so one has to ask around a bit .
